After placing concrete professionally for a few years, you learn when and when not to touch, no matter how tempting. A highly skilled masonry mechanic/specialist progresses at a pace the job demands. Knowing what type of concrete, the slump, the temperature and how the concrete was placed, how thick the pour is and so forth...."CONCRETE WAITS FOR NO ONE!".
After sufficient curing time, the concrete was carefully "washed" to achieve our customers goals. The stone was exposed In combination with a natural oxide pigment for color. This look is great for historical properties where pedestrian traffic is high. Also the exposed aggregate offers a quality slip resistant detail. Joggers and walkers were going by and thanking us because its so nice to walk on!
This Concrete was a designer blend of select aggregates and oxide pigments. Although this looks like regular concrete, once "washed" the aggregate(stone) will be exposed and create a unique aesthetic that offers excellent slip resistance!
